Completed my booking thru Goibibo which offered a moderate tariff to stay at the hotel. The hotel has had a close proximity to both the railway station and Meenakshy Amman Temple. The room including the rest room is very clean. Enjoyed the stay at the above hotel. The hotel has no restaurant neverthless nothing to worry there are restaurants nearby.. Hotel Sabari situated nearby offers a delicious vegetarian food but the problem is it is always crowded but still the staff are very co-opereative and h elp us finding the place to dine. For those interested in purchase of textiles can move off to Villakkuthoon area where you can find plenty of textile shops both wholesale and retail.

Budget hotel without fooding facilities ( tea/coffe can be got by hotel from nearby restaurants). Small rooms but has all basic amenities. Bed is very comfortable, reception provides helpful tips. Biggest plus is hotel's proximity to the Meenakshi temple , walking distance. Restaurants are nearby also for lunch and dinner. Actually perfect for a one day stay.

A late review: Stayed here on 29th and 30th Dec 2019. Very much walkable from the MDU RS, bus stand/station, Meenakshi temple. We arrived by MYS TN express and checked in without any hassles. The staff on the said dates at the reception were quite helpful. There was some issue with the AC, which was rectified soon. The room was very clean and the bathroom was quite nice. The approach through the staircase was(2019 end) somewhat narrow. As far as i can remember, all the rooms were in the first floor. There are lots of eating options around the hotel. We visted the Meenakshi temple the first evening. It was very crowded(year end), The next day, we visited Azhagar Kovil temple. We took the city bus route 44(in front of MDU RS) both ways. Had food at sabareesh(both) and Kumar mess.

The hotel is located very close to Meenakshi temple (approx 700 metre). Rooms are well maintained and clean. Dining options are not available inside the hotel, but one can order food with the help of reception. Several dining options and shops are available near the hotel. Hotel staff is very cordial and always smiling. The hotel is at the first floor and one has to take certain flights of steps as lift is not available. This may be taken into consideration while booking.

Do not be put off by the very ordinary sign on the street. At the top of the steps is an excellent budget hotel which is far ahead of other hotels of the same type and in the same area. The budget double room far exceeded expectations. Equipped with both fan and air conditioning it made sleeping very easy. The bed is huge and very comfortable. Although the room has no exterior window the lighting is superb and feels like daylight - very impressive. The bathroom is also of high quality with hot water in the shower and hand basin. In room wi-fi is very strong and quick. Finally the rooms to the rear of the hotel are very quiet and almost free of traffic noise. There was nothing here that I did not like - great room, great staff and great value.
